"WE SURVIVED" Buggs Island - The First Man Out Series - 2023 Bassmaster Open Kerr Lake
Stop # 3 of the 2023 Bassmaster Opens took us to Buggs Island aka Kerr Lake. We had to deal with some adverse conditions throughout practice and the tournament including rapidly rising water levels, thunderstorms, extreme wind, and muddy water but we survived! After having a decent practice the conditions though a wrench in my plans on Day 1 and I was only able to bring in 4 fish to the scales out of a potential 5 fish limit. With my season on the line I was able to scrap 13-2 together on Day 2 to jump over 50 places and finish 33rd earning a good check and some valuable AOY points! To keep the Auburn University Bass Team in contention for national titles, we must continue to recruit top talent from across the country and internationally. I am proud to announce I have donated $26,000 to create the Logan Parks Bass Fishing Scholarship at Auburn University. My time on the Auburn University Bass Fishing Team has allowed me to make lifelong friends and priceless memories. My wish is to support anglers like myself and give them the opportunity to chase their dreams at Auburn. I need your help to grow this scholarship to its fullest potential. All donations are 501(c)(3) tax deductible. This endowed scholarship fund was established by Logan Parks '21 to reward prospective or current members of the Bass Fishing Team at Auburn University.
